Yesterday had a brand new Challenger R/T, still had dealer tags, have a go at me from about 60. I beat him. I hit about 150 and left off. The road had some slight curves in it and it felt incredibly dangerous. Plus with the amount of body roll I could see that dude having trying to keep up with me in those curves at 140+...i didn't think either one of our families needed to deal with a death before Christmas. This was the first time I've ever gotten on my 135, I still have dealer tags on my car as well. It seriously surprised me and felt so planted on the road compared to my previous Audi S4. The owner of the Dodge pulled up too me with such a confused look on his face as to what I was driving, like he couldn't believe a little BMW beat him. He then proceed to slow down and just follow behind me at the speed limit.

Off the line, the 135 will smoke the G8 to 60. However, I have a feeling all that torque would make it a pretty close race to 120. From a 40 roll I might have to give the nod to the G8. Once that heavy gal gets moving, there's no stopping her.

While all these stories are awesome to read, since the majority of us are stock or BPU, it makes me excited to see what the next few years have in store for us.

I come from a community of Supras and over there everyone raves about the N54 motor saying how it's a modern day german Supra. Which isn't too far off. I'm sure we haven't even begun to tap into the true nature of our motors yet. I'd say in another few years we should begin seeing how far it really can go. The only thing I think that is holding us back currently is the astronomical price of a new motor or transmission. But I'll definitely be watching!

i've only gotten a few real runs, either knew the person and planned it, or at least repeated the run to ensure we were both into it and both had a chance to get it right. years.

stock tune...
wins
e46 m3, roll about 1/2 car, dig by car
370z, beat from dig by 1/2 car, even on roll 40-120
mustang gt beat by 1 car roll
loss...
e92 m3, roll beat by 1 1/2, dig beat by 1 car with him pulling
camaro ss, 01 with exhaust, got beat by 1/2 car 40-120 twice

tuned....
win
beat srt charger and 300 from roll 60-120, 1/2 car at most; 3 wide...they were playing and i'm sure surprised.
a few 350z, 370z, mustang gt (non 5.0), and newer and older camaro ss/trans ams.
slight pull from 60-120 on e92 m3 with at least exhaust
loss
5.0 roll 60-120 he got a slight jump and held maybe grew it a touch, 2 runs same result
ls3 vette dig to 100 about 1/2 car

horrible beat down tuned...
roll 50-140 (i hit about 130 on the speedo so probably only about 124 or so...in the 135) vs my 'other' car. my brother wanted to see what a 565rwhp vette could do.

Got my 135i M-Sport a week ago and on my way home from work during the middle of the week, a B5 RS4 (sounded like he had an aftermarket exhaust and maybe other mods) pulled up next to me at the stoplight. He revved and I couldn't stop myself. We both floored it when the light hit green. He was only half a car ahead up till 60, past that he started pulling away. At 80, he was almost 2 car lengths ahead. I am glad I lost because a cop was right around the corner and since the RS4 was ahead of me, he went after him. We were doing 80 on a 55. All in all, 135i is a tiny beast and i love my 1er!

People don't wanna race in my area .... most of the time its G35s that think they're quick and try to keep me from passing them (they fail every time).

It's just funny because I had to turn down racing people when I was driving my Cobalt and no one wants to run the 1er haha.

I recently beat an Audi s7 .. it was stock obviously.
I'm still not sure how I won. maybe 135's should be given more credit.

I recently lost to an x6m.. but honestly it was really really close

B5 RS4's and S4's are no joke. I miss my B5 S4 a lot! That car was pretty darn quick for being a car from 2001. It was a sleeper no doubt. They have a lot of potential to have a lot of horsepower too.

To much traffic in the dallas area so most of the time if I do see somebody nothing can be done anyway. I did get my ass handed to me the first day I owned my 1 though. Brand new CTS-V coupe, I was headed to pickup a Cobb AP and haven't seen him since. Other than that the typical Camaro SS's and WRX/STI's. I did piss off an old guy in a restored late 60's Cougar, the badge said it had a 390 and sounded pretty healthy. Both got on it about 80 but I started to pull him pretty bad about 115 he gave me some dirty looks after that.

Driving home from the beach once in Delaware, just cruisin about 70mph I see a nicely modded E46 M3, so of course we have a little fun just following eachother, finally the road opened up and he got a decent jump on me but I quickly pulled behind him and passed until 130-140 and I let off. He flew by as I was slowing down and I got next to him again, we rolled down the windows and he asked if it was an M model... I said nope, 135i... He was impressed. Cool guy and the funny thing was, we both had our girlfriends in the cars and they kind of just waved to eachother and roll their eyes. That was just Cobb Stage 2 without FMIC. Now I'm FBO Stg2+ and feel pretty confident about the car. Coming back to the S2000 comments. It's definitely a fun car and good in the turns, but it's a dog...

Yea bro, no one wants to race off the bat with me...I have to line up with someone and create awkward side by side driving for about 2 miles before the other person is like "What the heck! ZZOOOOOM" ..I think its because our cars dont exactly look sporty/exotic and often get overlooked. And alot of folks in the racing scene dont know about how quick these cars are...not enough of them on the road to make a reputation...I have friends who are like "What kind of BMW is that? A 331i?"

I have added several mods since my last post (meth, DP) and now I cream E46 M3's by like 6 cars...I have a buddy with an E39 M5. I take him every time but we like to line up and run for the heck of it.
