2007 BMW 328i Coupe lowered?
I'm going to put 19' rims and I want to lower it but I never done it before with any of my previous cars so I have no idea of what to use and how much is going to cost me.
If anyone could post a before-after picture with part names and pricing or any other information that I could use to get mine done would be great! Thanks. |

Literally a thousand different choices. You can change out just the springs, or upgrade shocks and springs, or adjustable coilovers are the most common options. Springs start around $250, shocks and springs around $700-800, coilovers from $1000-2000+. What are you looking to get out of this?

I daily drive in Florida. Flat roads, no curves. I wanted to keep the ride quality as close to stock as possible so I went with H&R sport springs. Drops a little over an inch. Just enough to look aggressive but not look like a teenager going through puberty.
Hard to install? No simple, but does require some special tools to take apart the ball joints on the front suspension. There's an install guide on the forum here but it's completely wrong. If you never spring swapped a car before I'd put BMW on the harder list of car's I've done due to the front end oddity of taking the struts out, better off paying a reputable shop or a buddy that's handy with cars. You can do the rear in minutes it's a piece of cake, 2 bolts. |

Banks, I just want a little more aggressive look at a fair cost. I think Riick is right on the money there. That's exactly what I want to do. Something "simple" but that will look & perform good without taking it too far.
Thanks guys! P.S. Your car looks awesome! ...are those 19'? what kinda tires ur using? and did you left the stock brakes, disks and calipers? Sorry bout bombarding u with questions lol |

Check out Bilstein or Koni sport shocks with H&R or Eibach springs. You'll lower about 1.2" front and 1" rear. Cost is around $7-800 not counting install. I did my own coilover install, it wasn't that bad. Start to finish is around 6-7 hours but that was with adjusting height numerous times to get it right. Here's mine with ST Coilovers, got them used for under $700

I'm thinking just doing the springs, seems a lot more reasonable in price or is the difference that much better with the shocks?

Mind as well do it right and get a shock/spring combo. Otherwise you will be replacing your struts and shocks a lot sooner than you would want to.

Most of the performance upgrade is in the struts as well.

Koni is also having a serious sale at the moment. Check out THMotorsports(I think they are running the best prices). They are ~25% off normal pricing. Just snagged a set of Yellows for my fiance.
