Limiter removed on 335i (with A/S tires) by PPK?

I have the base 335i with crappy all season tires. I dynoed the car today and the last run was in the 6th gear (don't look too much into the actual numbers since the car was already a bit too hot from the previous runs). However, I had expected to hit the limiter (130 mph) at about 5K rpm, instead I was pleasantly surprised when the car kept pulling way beyond till the red line. Max speed at that moment was 145mph.

So is this proof that the limiter has been removed by the MPPK?

That's interesting news...

What is the A/S limiter set at?

The reason I ask, is that I've personally, on a TRACK, of course, taken the car to 121-125mph and still had room to go. Stock limiter I believe is 130mph, so I guess you're def exceeding it on the dyno....which is GREAT news for PPK owners. But when I asked BMW, they didn't confirm that it was removed with PPK (I've asked my dealer to code this many times and they refuse).

That's right, the stock limiter with A/S tires is set at 130 mph. (I have the base 335i)

by the way, I almost took it to the limits of a V-rated tire (that too a RFT tire that has been patched due to a nail)

Stock limiter with A/S tires is 130-135. If you had gotten staggered summers, the factory limiter is set at 155 mph. I would guess that the MPPK just raised the limiter to 155. I got the summers and after MPPK, it still topped out at 155-160. Guess you'll have to go check!

I have noticed with my X-drive + MPPK that I was able to go over 135mph. I was actually quite shocked at expect to hit the limiter.

I did have the 19" staggered from the factory and I never tried before the MPPK, but my build sheet said that limiter was not changed.

Is it just by tires? I thought the limiter for rwd was 155, and for X-drive was 135?

xDrive has nothing to do with the speed limiter. A/S equipped cars (225/45 front and rear) have the 130 governor. Summer staggered (225/45 front, 255/40 or 35) equipped cars top out at 155. This makes sense because aren't A/S tires H rated for 130mph?

As someone stuck with this nonsense limiter my 2c are BMW can and should police its consumers on delivery to protect itself from liability but after that the dealer should have the discretion to flash to 155 when they have a customer requesting it who has upgraded tires to the proper speed rating. I would even pay a reasonable flash fee to have it done. It's BS that the dealer won't/can't do it. What's next? Are they are going to flash my car without my authorization to a lower speed when I bring it in for service with lower speed rated snow tires? If I can confirm as 100% fact that mppk removes the damn limiter I'm going to buy it just for that. Sorry for the rant.

My build order specifically removes the delimiter item cause I have an Xdrive. Xdrive suspension is taller. I will take a pic tonight when I am home. This was the same on the e90.

Since they're competing with Dinan makes sense they'd remove it...

It's like corporate espionage.
