Post Your Best McGuyver Moment

I was working on replacing the subwoofers today in my Roadster and wanted to pull a wire from one subwoofer enclosure to the other (they each have a port that connects to the other). I tried using an electricians fishing wire but that kept getting stuck on an obstruction. Hmmm...what to do. Bingo! I tied a wad of paper towel to a length of lightweight string and put the paper towel in one port. Using my Shop Vac I went to the other port and "sucked" the paper towel/string over. Worked like a champ!

So...what's your story?

my roadsters top was acting up and not opening or closing...I figured it was the micro switch so I pulled it and just jumped the wires together...worked like a charm!

I had a 1986 Audi whose hood had slots near the edge along the front windshield. When it snowed, the snow would fall through the slots and sit on top of the bulkhead directly underneath it. This design froze the tips of washer jets (also in the same area) so they wouldn't operate.

When I was "stuck" in this situation, I came up with the idea of using its cigarette lighter to warm the nozzles.
