I really dont have an opinion on the video. The kid was looking for trouble but everyone going to argue the legality of it.

I would had just told him to go away???

Honestly, the only reason I posted it is because it was filmed in ND just south of me... and well, its viral... and well, thats kind of a big deal when the amount of views on the video=like half of the states population.

That kid is an idiot. He didn't get arrested for nothing, he got arrested for interfering with a police investigation. There is likely much more to this story then this video indicates.

I wonder if the car window the cop was talking into was someone he just pulled over. Is that considered an investigation?

I don't know about that state but in Cali you can stand and watch it happen and even record it. My polisci teacher did that and the cop couldn't do shit about it. Helps to know the law but I still wouldn't fuck with cops like that. They can screw you over pretty badly without you doing anything and you wont be able to prove a thing.. depends on how dirty they are

Did the kid do something illegal? The video was pretty short. If it was an accurate portrayal of the events leading up to the arrest, then this is evidence of the police state.

Ready for the police state?

you would be surpriced. I work for the state of california and one of my co workers was arrested and unlawfully detained (accoring to him) for a few hours because a cop thought he was being uncooperative (and on drugs) since he refused to look at his bright flash light (he had just gotten laser eye surgery) my co worker said he was trying to explain it to the cop but the cop just tackled him in front of the parking lot of a Bank of America building late in the eveing (where he was working and was on a 15 minute break).

He went to court/arbitration (or something among those lines) and had proof that he was working late, had doctors notes saying he had just gotten laser eye surgery, plus now he is tax auditor for the state, and from the sound of it (to me) it really does sound like he got arrested for no real reason other than a pissed off cop. He just recently settled or what ever you call it, and i assume it he must have gotten a pretty good settlement out of it, since he is currently looking for an AMG Benz and makes less than me (but maybe he just has more money and/or finances him self better)... So yeah tax dollars at work...

I realize she's a dumb hooker for fighting with some skank over what she said on facebook about her boyfriend, but that seems a bit much.

Small penis + power position = free body checks for people who are walking.

How about, you have fucking rights and you should stand up for them. You're allowed to film on public property without permission.

So you wouldn't be pissed if I walked up to you out of nowhere and shoved a camera in your face? It's a free country, man. Bill of rights, man. Fuck the machine, man.

There is something called respecting someone's space, and showing common courtesy. Far too many people have no respect for anything that isn't their own.

I agree.. He should not have been arrested unless there is something more missing but from what was provided in the above video the arrest was wrong. If one were to have done this in most other parts of the world one would not have been arrested (not talking about China or Vietnam of course).

I agree with your comments but in this case this officer is supposed to be working to protect and serve the public If he were recording a bus driver would it be ok then? He most likely did piss the officer off but the officer being pissed is a personal thing. He got pissed so it is a personal issue and not a legal issue. He is employed by the government so he is supposed to follow their laws and no their laws. Two wrongs don't = right.

We are human. We get pissed, and react. The cop might have fucked up (not knowing if there is a back story), but you don't instigate stuff by putting a camera in someone's face and asking them a question that implicates them in illegal activity.

If i asked you not to film me, then you should respect my wish and stop filming me. Its that simple.

The cop could have done the same, or simply ignore the kid with his camera since then cop wasnt doing anything illegal other talking to a person in a car. For all we know, the cop could have been talking to his brother.

In the end, what the cop did was wrong.
