New Here- Offset Question
Hi everyone,
Just picked myself up a 2011 323I with the luxury package, however I have some questions regarding winter tires/wheels. I hope I can get some advice! As I understand it stock wheel size is staggered 17 X 8 (front) (17X 8.5) (Offset=34). I have the opportunity to pick up a set of 5 series OEM rims 17 X 7.5 (offset=20) with Dunlop M3 Wintersport tires 225/50/17. Using the wheel offset calculator, I think I am going to be alright but wondered what you guys had to say? Wondering what it might look like/ if I am going to get into rubbing issues.... open to rolling my fenders but would prefer not to. |

Wheels will work just fine, but tyre size is wrong. You should get either 225/45/17 or 205/50/17. Stock wheels are staggered 8 et34 and 8.5 et37.

If I absolutely had to stick the tires on for one season, what would be the consequences? Will they just look awkward or? |

Rubbing and maybe some problems with fender clearance, when turning, because 225/50 will be quite bulky on 7.5 wide wheel and the wheels are more out than stock wheels.

Good that they fit. It's always a risk when the tyre size isn't factory sizes, so you cant be sure before test fit.
