So Boost, waddya think, is this possibly the worst/funniest rendering yet? I'm thinking there's a chance that it very well could be haha

The fact the e92 has only been released for a year has nothing to with the authenticity of the image. All car manufacturers start their design and testing processes for next generations almost 4 to 5 years in advance. the lil updates that are given to cars during the years being built are by smaller teams dedicated to keeping the inventory fresh.
Now we can tell this image might be a fake because Autobild does this all the time, with numerous rendering of where they think a company's design team is heading sometimes they are spot on like the M3 and most times way off.

Anything with "Huckfeldt" on it is just a photoshop. The text of this article is all about bringing tii elements to the 3 and nothing about this photoshop or the next generation in the series. I'm not saying it looks bad, just that this ain't the next 3.

In any case, the BMW board will be presented with multiple designs for the f30 from which to choose. I doubt they are that far along yet.

I dont speak japanese but from the looks of that article it says something about 300 ps and 400 ps. PS as in German horsepower...implying that we may see a few versions perhaps?

Oh and for all you thinking that this isnt what the 2012 3 could look like, how would you know? Auto manufactures usually have ideas and renderings of new vehicles 20 years in advance and have vehicle-on-wheel prototypes in 5. So this is a very likely candidate of the new 3 IMO.

Depends on whether you're talking e90 or e92. If you like the facelift coming out for the e90 then wait a lil bit. If not, then you better hurry up and place an order soon. You don't have to worry about the e92 refresh for a good while. No reason to wait.

I love the kidney grill, but regarding the intro piece, the criticism of the car rear was directed to sedan, and here I see coupe. So still waiting on the new solution there.

I would say none of those are particularly accurate to be honest.

I think that at least some agree with me the current E90/91 design isn't that particularly pleasing.

Tii - I think it's more likely to be a 1 series thing. Since the 1 series was introduced in Europe with MY 2005 (before the 3 series), I'd say maybe the 1 series will get the change first? Of course, I'm not sure what happens in the U.S., since the coupe just not introduced, but maybe it'll be just a 4-yr run.

except for the M3 which is dead on minus the rear bumer w/license plate. the rest have even yet to see the light of day, so i'm not sure how those can compare.
