Another US Spec F30 3 Series Spotted - Luxury Line Model

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
At BMW HQ in NJ last Sunday was a Luxury Line F30 (pics/details)

Pics had to be taken with an aging phone as camera had died after all the snow in October pics that morning.

My reaction:

It looked great in person. It's less of a break away than the e90 was from the e46. In this luxury euro spec trim it looked very much like a slightly scaled down 5series. The trunk specifically looks different in person than in pics. In pics people will say it looks like a 5 or it doesn't look any different, in person it has more visual mass (again reminding me of a 5) and more curves than the e90 and a hint of clamshell design. Looking forward to driving one- if it's just a bit more spacious than the current car, has interior fit and finish like a 5 and has optional dynamic damper suspension it hits the mark for me.

Cabin looks huge with the long/low hood and belt line. Proportions just dont look right.

OMG - It looks like Dr. Frankenstein had his way with an E90.

I do not like those "modern" wheels and do not care for all that chrome around the windows.

The "sport" wheels are much better and no window chrome.

Otherwise, the car is fine.

I'd post a few pics, but cant find the attachment icon, where'd it go?
What did it look like in real life. My experience is they always look better in the flesh. 3er's always grow on you. And this one has grown on me quicker than any previous model. I particularly like the version in the video section where the red sport line car is parked in the drive of the house on top the hill. It shows some fantastic angles of the car and makes the car look super wide and sporty. I would love a 335d in the new F30 sport line.

Is this the first time we've seen the f30 with the orange reflector?

Might just be me, but the first picture with the rear end angled like that makes it look like a new Honda civic...

I've seen them in person in Munich. They look great in real life. Not quite an E90, but non a mini-5er, either. I think the rear end looks particularly improved. The tail lights on the LCI E90 look like an afterthought, on the F30 they look perfect.

I'm very glad they added an external reflector this time... those ambers look hideous.

looks good, i def. hate the wheels, i prefer the sport line over anything else. i agree that this isnt as much of a change as seen going from the E46 to E90. this looks like a modern BMW which i thought was the point. i love it!!

I love how the hood and front end is longer. I personally like the f30. Can't wait to see one at the dealer.
