F30 looks amazing, even with the stripe. That front splitter really sets it off.

The 1er looks odd, far too hamann like to me, especially the front end.

5er is ok-ish. Don't think these performance parts suit the car. I think M sport trim is the way to go (if you can't afford an M5 of course!)

Interior spot on!!

And that concludes my first ever bimmerpost comment!

My car is 15 years old and it has factory fitted equipment bearing the M logo, such as exterior rubbing strips and the steering wheel. This is nothing new, reach out of the pram, pick your teddy up, and start looking at things objectively.

I don't think that 15yr old model had as large of an M logo on the sideskirts as this...trust me I know what the insignia was/is on those cars and where it was positioned your comment about looking at it objectively is pretty funny actually

Well I do like to brighten up peoples days if I can. To me it's funny because even with the relatively small M logos found on my 328i sport (that are indeed different to contemporary M3's anyhow).. this..

... happened - in reverse - to me... I was questioned as to the cost of my "M3" (that blatantly displays its 328i badge on the rear), after somebody has noticed the M logos on the rubbing strips, which are literally 1/20th the size of the 328i badge on the rear...

... what I'm saying is, some people are stupid, and if they are confused or mis-lead by M-badges on non 'full' M-cars, then they're probably also confused by the little people that live in their TV's -- I don't give a crap what they think, I'm an enthusiast, and to me these performance parts are just another way to sex up existing models, and they'll probably be less common than either genuine M cars, or other M-sport models. I'm all for it.

For those that feel bmw is 'watering down' the M brand by slapping M add ons all over non-M cars, relax, they've been doing it for years (remember the 85-88 E28 M535?). It wasn't long ago that every kid with an e36 and a couple grand mod budget could make their 318 look virtually indistinguishable from the m3. Now at least thats not possible without extensive body modifications.

Those wheels are hideous. They don't even fill the arches well without the need of some fat spacers.

Am I anachronic by thinking that the old BMW Performance e90 looks a lot better ?[/QUOTE]

Why can't they just leave the BMW performance logo on the parts. Putting m logos on a non-m is the most cheesy, poser, stupid... Thing to do.

Nothing new here gents, M-Tech has been around a long time and the offering of M-Performance parts is just a continuation of that same line of thinking. I personally applaud BMW for doing something that companies like Porsche have done for decades.

It's hideous is there anyone else that feels as I do that the new m5....although motor wise is amazing...the car is ugly and I'm sorry some of these body parts make look worse....I've loved BMW my whole life and do currently own one that I enjoy nothing more then raising its bar in performance so I'm not shitting on Beemer totally but come on this is corny and doesn't look like it should for 556 horses

I will personally pay an extra $10,000 for the next generation M3, if they put less M badges on it than this failure.
