I actually did black plasti dip and then did 5 coats of glossifier, it still was not shiny.. I think its just a low gloss finish or something..
Ah, interesting! Glad it's not just me!

Thanks! Yeah I did like the matte black before as it matched my roof but now I want them glossy.

Lmao @ the 1:00 comment...

Anyway, I was worried of over spray on the body of the car! Always tape off around your spray area.

How many coats did you do, they looked pretty light.

I think you would have had better results removing rims from car and using a paint gun with glossifier.

I checked and i didn't seem to get overspray on my car.
I did 7 light coats. I know it woulda been better to take the rims off but I don't have a low profile jack

Here comes another 10 page thread on the complete wrong way to coat wheels (with anything).

Step 1: take off heels and clean clothes and put on working on the car clothes and shoes

Step 2: Take the damn wheels off

Step 3: Don't spray the tires (tape them using index cards, paper or whatever).

Just safe practice, not that plastidip over spray won't come off with a clay bar.

Well for what you are working with you did a good job. I haven't heard many great things about the glossifier, I know I want to do the Matte Clear over my car.

glossiffier only make plasti dip glossy is you spray glossifier on normal paint then it become a matte finish.

Hey Taran, how much would that cost roughly?
$400 to $600 depending on the shop

Thanks for the step by step instructions! FYI, in my last plasti dip video, I did do these 3 things. This time, I was just taking short cuts! Hahaha!

Oh god.

Anyways.... Well I didn't want to peel it off! But I didn't do a great job on a couple rims, so luckily it does peel off. I guess on top of plasti dip it probably adheres better and is much glossier. Sigh.
I don't know, before I had my roof vinyl wrap, I would dipped the whole roof, then top it off with 4 cans of the glossifier, and I can barely see the shine. Overall from my experience, the product was a total disappoint from the start.

Nice video I done a 50/50 of one of my wing mirror caps but decided to stick with the matte, my 50/50 shot was just one quick spray off glossifier but maybe it's cause my plastidip was just freshly applied?. What about removing one wheel at a time and laying it on it's back probably easier to cover the entire rim instead of on the vehicle.

Wow, that is a big difference! But yeah, it must be because it's on top of fresh plasti dip.
I would remove my rims but I don't have a low profile jack.
