doesn't look like it can be saved, so you'll have to just sell it to me

Bummrr. If you like the carbon look you can get it repaired and re-wrapped in carbon and re-cleared since that is how it started out. Probably cost more than painting but will look new at a fraction of the cost and it could be stronger since you'll have double the carbon fiber

erm, holy shit??

reading this is making me super paranoid O_O

I didn't even use 3m tape until a few days ago, and i couldn't use much since the way the lip is, the 3m tape doesn't even grab both the lip and bumper together at most areas.

i don't think i've gone past 75mph with the lip on yet...now i don't know if i want to try X_x

but it looks to me a shop could reinforce it then paint over it...best of luck to you man

so are you able to tell if the screws in the middle holding the lip failed or the lip pulled out of it?

i've gone over 120 with this and it's fine. we used longer screws, washers and double stick tape.

OP - really sorry to hear that. hopefully you can make that thing work.

You can probably restore it then color match it. It'd probably be cheaper than doing it in CF again (although I'm not sure how much that costs)

I mounted my lip with factory clips and screws. Just had to cut the little squares for the clips and predrill the lip. Easy peasy and looks factory. Oh, and f*ck double sided tape

All the screws held in its just the center of the bumper didn't have enough tape to hold it in place.

I'm gonna try to add 2 additional screws near the front of the bumper to help hold it in place next, then add a crap ton of 3M tape to make sure that it sticks this time. I do a lot of highway driving and this thing needs to be able to handle high speeds lol

just use 3M extreme outdoor tape and longer bolts and you'll be fine. of course make sure it seals up for about 15 minutes before driving it. i've hit about 130+ mph and its still on there like a champ.

Who hasn't destroyed their lip?
I think you should just touch it up and roll with it!

I just re-installed mine a couple of days ago...fixed it with resin and it's all good now. It just has a scar but not noticeable form 5 ft away. The cost was about $25 for resin, sand paper and clear coat.

before

after...the damage is to the right, the center is just glare from the flash.

I might have to re-do the clear...I want to get rid of the light stress cracks on the clear.
