Some people just treat their cars like they treat themselves, its like a bond very few people have with their cars. Whether it was my 2007 GTI or my 2013 M3, I took care of them very well. It gets me from "point A to point B", but in my line of work, thats very important, so why not take care of the source that gets the job done. Like they say, if you take care of your car, it'll take care of you. A lot of people I know, who I've met at BMW meets, forums, etc, are A LOT more clingy to their cars than I am.. Like I know this guy on a bmw forum who puts his m3 in a oxygenated tent just to keep his paint hydrated... thats commitment

The use of “rape” in such a casual way misrepresents the gravity of sexual assault. Rape is no laughing matter. In the United States, approximately 16 percent of women and three percent of men have been victims of attempted or completed rape. Fifteen percent of sexual assault victims are under 12. Sexual assault victims are three times more likely to suffer from depression and four times more likely to contemplate suicide than non-victims. Growing up with two sisters, one younger and one older, and hearing about rape cases all around the world, especially the big one in India recently, really gets you furious about these predators. Since you are "okay" using the word "rape" openly in forums, gets me thinking about your past.. its not a forbidden word, yet, but I doubt anyone will want you around them if you are so comfortable using the term. There is nothing funny, glamorous, or casual about rape. Committing an act of rape does not make you cool, powerful, or superior. As adults (I don't know how old you are), we should know this. So why can’t our vocabulary reflect that knowledge?

Am I new to the internet?.. What kind of stupid question is that? If I was new to the internet, wouldn't my join date be similar to yours? June 2014...

Its not that case of what people say in these forums, they can say whatever they want.. Im just telling you that its not okay to say the things you say on a thread about a M3 bumper accident. Now you can admit you were wrong and come out to be a man or you can keep arguing with me and I can label you a troll..

Either way man, I posted this thread because I was genuinely pissed off about what happened to my car and wanted some feedback on how to go about fixing it for a low cost since Im not going through insurance, that all lol

I know you didn't, no body did but if someone tells you its not chill the first time around, why continue to instigate the situation?

Are you one of those guys who has a "AMG LULZ" license plate?

If so, that might have something to do with it...

Are you one of those guys that can't read? It clearly says "AMG_LAWL".. and no I'm not one of those guys who has that as a license plate..

You would think M3 drivers back each other up and help them out with solutions, but people like you are probably just born douchebags.

Im off this thread, got the info I wanted from the helpful users on this post.

I didn't want to read the 4 pages of replies, but if you can get access to the inside area of the bumper you can knock that sucker back out with a fist, foot or any other object such as a block of wood. Use something that won't damage or puncture the plastic. The paint might crack, be ripped or otherwise damaged from the fold points, but at least the plastic will be back in shape and at that point you can decide what to do with it. Worst case is you replace and respray the bumper, it's not a huge expense compared to the other options. Be glad it wasn't worse my friend. You could be buying a tail light, trunk, exhaust, who knows....
Anyway, the original bumper cover is about 650 bucks, you'll have to have it sprayed and mounted. That's another 200 bucks or so for paint. Sucks someone didn't want to fess up. Maybe go back to that same spot at the same time and see who comes out? Look for someone with a scuffed up rear bumper?

Good luck with it.

I believe Hansford is trying to say that the use of the term devastated to describe your fender bender is out of place. Devastation would be a more accurate term to describe rape, whereas, a fender bender just raises your blood pressure.
