Cool [DIY E92 M3] F1 Center Stopping Lamp

Hello, M3 Fighter Pilots!!

I got a "LED Center Stopping Lamp".

I decided to install it to my M3 Coupe, like this.

It has 12 LEDs. Its diameter is 3mm.

In order to get more brightness, I changed these 3mm LEDs to 5mm LEDs.

This is still in progress. Compare the brightness.

Left side is 3mm LEDs (Normal Intensity), and right side is 5mm LEDs (Ultra High Intensity).

When turn on the small lamp, it gleams with its 30% brightness.

When turn on the stopping lamp, it gleams with its 100% brightness.

And in order to notice immediately, I added a LED flashing circuit.

It looks like "F1 Center Stopping Lamp", doesn't it?

1) It is not rear fog lamp, it is brake lamp. Read above once again.

2) BMW adopted "Dynamic Brake Lamp" from LCI models. It is flashing at a panic brake. Can you explain why BMW adopted it?

Of course it's not a rear foglamp. Doba is referring to activating the rear fog lamps in addition to the flashing F1 lamp.

The way they drive in Tokyo you probably need that extra brake light!

cool, not your average mod

but, if you constantly hit the brake on and off, isn't it gonna get annoying for people behind you always seeing a blinking light?

Hmmm, how about making it more subtle by mounting it behind the rear diffuser screen?
