Work Gift Exchange

I think I am the only person at my work that actually puts thought into a gift.. Well this year, I picked someone who is a huge Carlos Santana fan..

I bought an LP off amazon, and the framed it..

I think it turned out pretty good.. Let me know what you guys think..

nice! and yes, you probably are the only person. most people don't want to cross that fine line with co-workers. separate the work and personal life. gift cards are probably the best.

but your gift is just cool. nothing wrong with it.

In the past we've done white elephant gifts. But they're normally stupid/funny gifts, like paper weights.

One year I got a Jesus night light.

Last year I got a t-shirt, which I've worn fairly often. This year we all voted to not do anything this year. I'm glad.

I think that the Santana album is a very thoughtful gift. Now, if the recipient is some hot chick, it would be even better.....

although theres a $10 limit on the gift, and this is what he asked for. so its kind of limited.

Great job on the gift. i hate gift exchanges at work. this year the person i drew requested the Sex and the City DVD. needless to say, she will be receiving a target gift card instead.

office gifts are usually supposed to be cheap and low effort though... i mean you def did a great job but other people might be like...what a douche! but who cares what they think right? haha

So, we did our lil gift exchange at work and I guess it went okay.. Person I picked loved the gift.. This year people actually got some decent shit..

I got:
The Complete Book of BMW : Every Model since 1950
A couple BMW mags and a calendar...

Anyone do an exchange today?

Call me what you like this time of the season (scrooge). What is the point of office party and white elephant gift exchange? I don't get it is it for the laughs or the excitement? Gee folks, if you collect all the money spent on white elephant gifts and take that money and donate to the food bank or make a wish foundation or other non-profit charities, would that not make you feel a whole lot better inside?
