Jay Leno guest stars on TOP GEAR

SO nice that he actually is on the show and hopefully he'll be brought on to drive a modestly priced car and do a full interview sometime soon =D

That is the torrent I'm downloading, and despite what TPB says, nobody is seeding.

Hmmm... having trouble getting a tracker announcement to finish.

EDIT: restarted torrent download, one seed in two peers. 6kbps is better than 0 I suppose.

set your torrents like this, expect similar results....

tailor your upload speed to be under your max upload speed...the rest is money

I'd already done that. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being throttled upstream.

no, that's like saying the patriot act was created because of you. there is something in your network that is preventing the full use of your connection. are you going through a router?

Router does SPI and NAT.

use the DMZ though. you need to set your primary torrent computer up with a static internal IP (192.168.*.* etc.) with either the DMZ (router setting) pointed towards that computer, or at least configure the router so that that computer's static IP has an open port for your torrent client. once the world can talk to your torrent client, your torrent speeds will speed up exponentially. DHCP is the enemy of torrents behind a router.

this goes for everyone...protip.

I don't understand how that would work... I guess because I've never heard the term DMZ through. I know what a DMZ is, however. An RFC 1918 address can't be outward facing, which means your doing NAT anyhow, so I'll assume you're talking about doing port forwarding. Anyhow, I set the router up to forward ports 6881-6889 to the machine in question (which still uses DHCP, but is assigned a lease based on MAC).

OK, that worked. Setting up port forwarding did the trick...
