XBOX 360 Elite vs. Standard.
Is it worth it to get the Elite for $100 more than the standard one? I know that it comes with a HDMI and 120GB drive but I was just wondering if it is definitely worth it. Thanks.

$100 is the price of a 120GB hardrive alone, so YES. You'll need all that hardrive space for videos, movies, arcade games, and so you can play games from your hardrive (faster loading and no load spinning DVD player. I'm not sure if this is true just for the ELITE anymore, but the fan in the ELITE is slightly quieter.

The new Elites have the better CPU...it produce less heat
More storage (120g HD) plus its got the HDMI cable (very important if you have 1080p HDTV) I have the elite Look for promos....elite with 2 games...etc

it has a different CPU?? wth?
I thought the only diff with the elite was 120GB HDD.... I have the 360 Premium 20gbb hdd and it comes with HDMI as well...  my 360 isn't that loud....hmm maybe you guys have sensitive ears or something? dunno...i'm playing with 6.1 surround speakers...so that may be a factor... |

red ring of death is cause by overheat of the cpu
the new elites uses a diff. cpu which produces less heat it also have a diff. heat sinker Quote:
