Parking Places Info (Good or Bad)

I think it might be useful and handy to have this tread here.
Especially finding a good, safe, and cheap parking spot is not easy in HK.
Volks can post some blacklisted parking lots they have been to, so other members can avoid any bad accidents.

Okay.....Please provide as much info as you can here.

1. Name of Parking
2. Location (extrance & exit)
3. Fee (hourly rate, day rate, night rate, fixed rate)
4. Promotion/Discount condition
5. Security
6. Vacancy
7. Possible hazards (width of the parking spot, steep ramps, blindspot...etc)
8. Extra notes

Okay....let me go first, this is one of my personal favourite:

1. Element Shopping Mall Parking
2. Austin Road West & Nga Cheung Road (3 entrances & exits in total)
3. $8/hr
4. $180 spending for 4 hours free parking, $400 spending for 6 hours free parking
5. Security level is good, security guards + surveillance camera
6. holidays & weekend will be around 80% full.
7. Fairly wide parking space, ramps aren't steep, pretty sport cars friendly
8. If I can get 6 hrs free parking, I can take light bus to MK or TST.

This is a good thread to support but unfortunately, off the top of my head, I don't remember a lot of the details but here goes some of my favourite spots:

CWB

Lee Garden
- decent spacing between spots
- can be congested at the entrance
- but expensive >30 per hour

Lee Garden II
- a better choice than Lee Garden in my opinion
- but entrance is less convenient than Lee Garden
- less expensive, should be around 25-30 per hour?
- decent spacing between spots

Time Square
- avoid if possible as traffic at entrance is bad
- price is reasonable
- always try to park in B3 (trucking loading area), all lambos, porsches, ferraris park there

Admiralty/Central

Pacific Place
- good spots, reasonable price but sometimes full

- as an alternative, park at the parking lot with the entrance near the Wanchai Police HQ, exit connects to the Pacific Place (forgot the name)
- lots of spots and reasonable pricing, very convenient exit

IFC II
- very spacious, loads of space
- price is reasonable
- lots of nice cars there

Man Yee Building
- generally tight but some spacious spots
- very convenient

Mong Kok
- I always park at the Hang Lung spot on Dundas Street
- expensive but very spacious spot
- very convenient

Wanchai HKCEC - day park HK$120 from 8am till 6pm. Good if you will need to be in Wanchai (North) for the whole daytime. Half-day (till 2pm or 2:30pm, forgot) park is also available for HK$80.

However, day park and half-day park offers may be suspended when there is event in the HKCEC.

P.S>Hourly parking is HK$24.

Giskard>>>The parking lot near WC Police HQ is Harcourt Garden car park.

My fav. too, it is not far from my home

You could see me (my car) there in most of the weekends. I prefer the south entrance. Nowadays not easy to get space in the first level, most of the time I will need to park one level up.

Hi, I am new here ! thanks for the above sharing!!!

I like to point out some bad car parks which scratch my side skirt (e93, 19' wheel, PSS10 already set the highest possible)

1) Shatin - New Tower Plaza car park
Very steep ramps for both entrance and exit
No way you can avoid that

2) Sheung Wan - Shun Tak Center
Steep at the end of the ramps at the parking level
To avoid the scratch, you have to turn sharply to exit the ramp

3) Cheung Sha Wan - Asia Golf club (driving range)
Two steel bars at the bumper in the car park entrance
The security guard told me there is only one angle at one spot you can exit or entry without scratch

1) Festival Walk

besides the headache going down and up the parking lot.. watch out for the tight gate where you get your ticket.
other than that.. the parking lot is very spacious
spend $600 get 2 hours free.
if just so happens you pass 12am(after watching a movie) you can't get your free 2 hours.. there's a guy near gate exit.. they can do the free 2 hours thing for you there! don't feel that like you get rip off.. HAHAHAAHAH

2) Ocean Terminal at Hong Kong Hotel
parking space is really tight! 100% full on weekends.. and on the top level.. you will see lots of BMW occasionally Ferrari, Porsche, Gallardo.
spend $200 get 2 free hour parking.. if you have citibank visa 1 more hour free!

If you have lower your car, Time Sqaure and Pacific Place are not recommended, especially Time Square, you will scratch even crack your spoiler easily when you out from the car parking, I have experienced this b4.

Sino Plaza in Causeway Bay

Great deal on after 8pm on monday-thursday
$68 - for all night parking till 6am?
a good alternative for people who are lazy like me and dont want to park at times square and walk over to the sogo side

central - lkf area
the centrium - on arbuthnot road
expensive but good for people who DO NOT drink but go out with friends in lan kwai fong...some pretty nice cars parked there at night
if you're willing to risk getting a ticket, parking outside on arbuthnot road or on lyndhurst terrace

ifc area...park at ifc 2 instead of 1...easier to find good spots

Park and Ride.
Hong Kong Station Car Park: $15 Dollars / $25 Dollars
(It's basically the same as IFC 2 parking)

While everyone parks in IFC 2, I choose to park inside the HK Station Car Park.
1) I don't have to turn N times.
2) It's basically the same as IFC 2

How the park n ride works: After having parked your car, if you go to the MTR station HK station stop and go inside and wait 1 minute (cost $3) and exit, your parking fee will reduce from $25 -> $15. Even if you are busy, I still feel it's very hassel free location.

Entrance, if you swing around 4 Seasons and return to IFC it will be located on your left side.

*Be sure not to enter the Airport Express Station.
*You can't validate if you eat in IFC or shop.

Big parking lot in Lee Yuen Mun is a MUSTNOT :

Its a completely cheat, on the front there are ppl weaving you coming in,

with a BIG sign showing you HKD 10 per hour,( with small letters showing only first hour)

however, once you parked in , he will tell you the actual charge is 24 / per hour from 2nd hour and onwards,

WTF

if you guys go to LEE yuen mun and have seafood, never park in the open car parking lot, instead, park inside the Gov building opposite the open lot!!!!!

If so, how do you get on that street? It's super crowded at any time of the day and it's mainly for pedestrians.
