Anyone issued a personal ban on the mag?

Hitler and Stalin (twice) were both "Man of the Year" on Time so I really don't see what the big deal is. Bin Laden was on a few covers as well. This is nothing new.

Also, there's no need for me to put a personal ban on something I've never bothered to read in the first place. I get most of my media from the web and terrorists are routinely the cover image on those pages so this is really a non-story.

I don't buy it anyway. Don't really care.

Lots of people will buy it though, just because of the stir everyone is making over it.

good thing is, who really buys magazines these days anyway. RS has always been a rag... no surprise here. Though CVS nationally supposedly pulled it... bravo to a company for doing so!

For some reason it does bother me a little bit. I don't read or buy that mag so it's not like i'm banning them either.

I too realized that other notorious people have been on the cover of Time. Time is a news magazine where cover photos of political figures is acceptable. Plus those images are documentary style photos. Rolling Stone on the other hand is perceived as a "rock star" mag, and i think with the Jim Morrison esque image i'm somewhat rubbed the wrong way.

Keep in mind they want to cause controversy to sell issues
Just like the time magazine that had Mohamed morsi ( the former Egyptian president)
And labeling him the most important man in the Middle East

My only issue is its a little too soon to be using that pic
And it should have been a mug shot
Not a shot that makes him look like a normal person
Because anyone who does something like that, is not normal, and should not be treated as such.
I'm all for human rights
But if you don't act like a human, why should you be treated as one?
What those 2 brothers did was kill innocent civilians that had absolutely nothing to do with their issue.

I got a subscription and just got the issue in the mail yesterday. There is no glorifying on the cover page to get upset over except for a picture if you call that glorifying. Big fucking deal, should they have used one of him dead? Plan to read the article when I get some quiet time in my house.

Seriously how many people died? What 3? If anyone was planning to induce a mass killing on this forum, do you think 3 is a reasonable number to even consider worthy? You can kill more people in a single car accident. Why put so much weight on this matter.

if only your relatives or child made up the part of the small number of casualties. Then you wouldn't have to ponder such deep questions.

Actually the other guy really looked like an actor..
But seriously their parents are sick in head instilling this stuff in them, they rather kill themselves and innocent people rather than live their young lives, and not like they didn't have a future..
The parents are the ones who should be behind bars IMO

from my knowledge, their parents weren't responsible for the brothers' conversion to radical islam. it happened during a trip to russia or something.

anyway, this issue has an easy solution. if it offends you, then don't read the magazine. problem solved yay

Rolling Stone sucked long before this cover came out. Someone needs to remind them that they're supposedly a 'rock and roll magazine'. The last time I bought an issue of RS was probably 20 years ago.

Stupid cover, but I've never read RS anyway. Whatever. Everyone hates them now for it, hope their readership plummets. Moving on.
