Plenum removal DIY.

Anyone have the DIY steps for removing the engine plenum? What needs to come off first?

I wrote something on somebody else's thread, so do a search. From memory, you need to remove air filter and filter housing (easier this way than removing the entire housing, believe me), engine covers (left one requires loosening of power steering reservoir, and driver's side valve cover vent. Then you need a very long extension with an 8mm socket to loosen up all 8 TB clamps. The most difficult are the rearmost on either side. Then just pull up at the front, and jiggle it at the back until it's dislodged. It takes time without removing the strut bracing, but comes off relatively easy (MUCH easier than removing those things). It should look like this when you're done:

I left the covers off, by the way. Engine looks way sportier and nicer IMO. It's a sacrilege to cover that jewel . Oh, and also removed the front engine hanger, assembly paint, and myriad stickers. Take care.
