You might want to utilize this relatively inexpensive implement. Once procured, I believe one utilizes this judiciously to your mufflers.

It is one of those so-called "tricks of the trade" - little known, but alarmingly effective, if one wishes simply to increase volume, with no thought to such matters as power gains, weight loss, etc. I believe its proper nomenclature is "ice pick", or some such thing.

Be careful, however. Proper technique is of utmost importance, here, and too much of a good thing could well be detrimental to the overall performance of your car's exhaust.

Let me know what you think when you're done

Tubi! that's the way I want to go, just surprised it is uncommon for the e92m3.

An X-pipe is one way, or just have an exhaust shop cut out the secondary cats and resonators and add an X-pipe.

However, if you were to use a drill bit, in lieu of the pick, there would be some weight savings!

Anyone who wants ro practice, I have an OEM muffler you can have cheap (less connecting pipes, though).

That is the coolest thing I've seen on the forums, and your means of controlling them is icing on the cake. Props to you and your shop.

Nice! I saw your video before the updates. I like the extra drive-bys you added at the end.

Considered doing the cutouts but this mod is so good as it is - no need to mess with it. For $250, it's money well spent.
