An unbelievable run beating 4 really good teams, Portland, LA, OKC, and the Heat...I don't think they could have taken a harder road to winning it all.

So many stories:

Vindication for one of the all time greats to play, Dirk. I felt I was the only one defending the guy after the 2006 loss in the Finals. I argued with fellow fans about keeping Dirk because he's great. I didn't even want to trade him for Kobe and for him to finally win it and play so fucking well...I'm just so happy for him. I've watched proably 70 games/season since 1993 and this was the sports day I've waited for my entire life.

Kidd finally gets his ring.

Terry comes up big after talking publically.

Everyone came up big in a total team effort. Dan Gilbert's comments were spot on: not shortcuts and Dirk didn't take one and it paid off. Thank you Dirk for sticking with the Mavs and working so hard to get to this point.

Congrats Dallas, congrats Dirk, and congrats to the Mavs.

What a great year to be a Dallas sports fan. NBA title, world series run, and hosting the super bowl. So glad to bring it home this year! Much sweeter now than 06. I made 2 finals games in 06 and 2 this year. The crowd this year was much much more crazy. Reunion arena crazy.

On a side note, I'm gonna pour one out for Josh Howard and Devin Harris. They should both be happy tonight as well. On a another side note, does anyone else hear Cuban's phone ringing with 'Steve Nash' displayed on caller ID?

mavs deserved it this year. They all played so well in the playoffs playing portland then lakers then okc then the heat. That is the toughest four rounds ever. Everyone played good and they deserve it this year. Congrats again mavs.

great celebration party today. i was surprised on how many people packed the AAC. it was supposedly a season ticket holder only event, but if it was just season ticket holders, there are about 15,000 of them haha.
