you know what...having such a good job as a Speaker of House (excellent pay and health insurance) and do what he did it's just plain stupid.
and why in the World would you want to vote for someone like him (?)
Now, I understand voting for Romney or Santorum or even Ron Paul, but voting for this fool, it's beyond me...."frankly"

I'd rather have "George W" back. He might have been a little naive and stupid, but he was not a "Georgia Klansman" carrying a brief case or ruining President's careers like he did Clinton when he did the same thing behind his own wife's back. If you had a brain you would not believe the hype coming out of a true hypocrites mouth like Newt Gingrich.

And newter brought this all on himself. He thought he could play fast and loose hardball with Romney and nothing would happen. Woops, Romney decided to bite back and, ouch, it hurt. Newt's ok as long as he's in broadcast mode but when Romney started to punch back over the last two debates things changed. Newt is now exposed as the intellectually undisciplined bully he is. It's a runaway train now, he'll be less important at the convention than crazy uncle ron.

^True story. Nobody trust Newt...AT ALL. He lost all interest and respect from me when he was bashing Romney and the way he makes money. People say hes changed blah blah, i gave him a chance and he blew it with this Romney bashing. All day long he bitches on how Romney runs a negative campaign, but ive yet to hear any no-newt adds, instead i hear constantly, anti Romney ads, perhaps its because im in Texas and its not in play yet....

The only thing causing me pause with Romney isn't necessarily his past policy blunders (of which their are plenty) but whether he can fight as hard as Newt may be able to. Love his business experience, and i think he can best right the ship from a non partisan standpoint, I.E. do whats best, not necessarily what the party machine wants, again assuming he has the sac.

So true. As in 2008, I've always thought he might be missing a killer instinct, an ability to do the hard and nasty when required. Newt's attacks causing Romney's tough response has partially addressed that for me.

I have two issues with Romney:

1: In July 2001 the state of Massachusetts entered into a contract with the union I was in (Assoc. of Professional Administrators), which consisted of all the non-civil service staff at the state colleges and universities. The contract was negotiated and signed in good faith. Then it sat on the desk of the ditz Cellucci left in charge when he went off to be ambassador to Canada. She delayed and delayed signing it for months. Then 9/11 happened and she used it as an excuse to not fund the contract (even though all the other provisions applied). So we got no raises at all for years. Then Romney took over and we hoped he would finally fund the contract, but he claimed since he didn't sign it, he was under no obligation to honor it, which is a crock of shit. That's when he lost my vote forever. He has no honor and no idea what honor means. (Gov Patrick retro-funded the contract in his first year in office and we finally got our back pay.)

2: In order to get elected in MA, he supported abortion rights, same sex unions, and promised to bring a health care plan to MA. Now he is pro-life, against same sex unions, and rails against Obamacare, which is modeled on his MA health care plan (which also required everyone to have health insurance). This tells you that he will do or say anything to get elected and once in office he will focus most of his energy on getting re-elected.

So if he gets elected, we'll have someone in office with no sense of honor who just wants to stay in office for another term. Typical DC insider.

Um, who?

You really think any of these rejects have a chance in hell? I don't like Obama, so don't get me wrong, but the fact doesn't change that the GOP collection of rejects makes Obama the clear winner...

This election is not if we like Obama or Not. This election is about Obama's policies. The man will be judge on his track record and nothing more.

We both clearly have different views and I expect Obama to lose this November's election.

Really won't matter who gets into office as long as we have the same bickering jackasses in Congress. The real vote needs to focus on replacing the vast majority of them. Both sides of the aisle.

I will admit, you have a lot more faith in the GOP than I do.

The people will have to choose between Obama and a bunch of liars and cheats and old men, so IMO the current President looks like the best choice (even if he isn't someone the majority of the people agree with now).
