BMW Performance Center Overview Video

COMMENTS

BMW Driving School Instructors Matt Mullins and Mike Renner join BMW M Brand Manager Matt Russell in discussing the BMW Performance Center.

The BMW Performance Center, unveiled in 1999 in Spartanburg, South Carolina is perhaps the best place in the United States to celebrate the BMW spirit, dedication to quality, and commitment to performance.

Home to the BMW Performance Driving School, the BMW Performance Center Delivery Program and a world-class conference center, BMW designed its Performance Center to expand the unique automotive experience into a memorable event. At one location, a visitor can tour a $1.6 billion state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, browse the Zentrum museum showcasing more than 75 years of BMW automotive and motorcycle history, host a successful corporate event, and enroll in one of several driving instruction programs.

Check out some BIMMERPOST members' Performance Center Delivery experience journals.

I took the 1 day m school this past thursday.. Learned a lot, had a ton of fun, and everyone was very accommodating.. All the instructors are very very good drivers with race backgrounds and a lot of knowledge.

It's definitely worth the trip and the experience is fantastic. I did ED+PCD in 2008, went back in 2009 for 2 day M-school, and did the M-power experience in Miramas, France (Mike Renner and I shared a car). All of the instructors are expert drivers and genuinely nice people. For most of them, working at the performance center is their day job that allows them to race. call them 'starving racers' if you will.

Like they say in the video its both fun and educational and they have a bunch of courses ranging from new driver school on up through Advanced M school (which they hold at either Virginia International Raceway or Charlotte Motor Speedway)

Speeds at each school are taught progressively. You start slow and move up in speed.

Again, definitely worth going.
