Actually my friends ex's dad is in all of our fantasy sports leagues. I also wouldn't keep the bracelet, sell it. Another friend who broke up with his fiance turned the engagement ring into an earring for himself which he ended up selling because it was just a reminder he didn't want to have. She wanted to break up for that exact same reason while in college, he hasn't regretted not going back to her.

25k isn't all that much if you planned on using it for a ring and anything remotely similar.
A house/ place to live would be more important, meaningful (imo), and financially advisable. But 25k wouldn't be enough for a downpayment on any decent house (not by a long shot), but would be sufficient for a decent condo (which you could always rent out later once you buy a house). You're 26, you're still young, so live life and enjoy it. Don't be hung up on her. I was in a near 3 year (more like 2 but whatever) relationship and it went south and the best thing that got my mind over it was finding another girl. I thought she'd only be a rebound but she's a much better woman than my ex. You are blinded by "love" and need to realize there are better women out there. I don't just mean hotter, I mean more mature, sane-ish (no women is 100% sane lol), intelligent, etc etc 22 is young but not that young for her to be acting that way... that is too immature. If you want to work it out, work it out; but don't give her anything expensive. You'll just be playing around her finger at that point.

She wants something else that is not you, although you still want her, but better face it she's not coming back. In the case I'm familiar with, guy found someone else and married in 3 yrs, and so did she. |

From what i read so far Litos has some pretty sound advice, she is definately either already fucking somebody or is about to. Almost always when you get these bs excuses like "i need time to think", "i just need my space" etc... its because she has lost all attraction for you and has already found it in somebody else. If i were you i would be nice to her and act like it didnt even bother me. Then id take that bracelet back plus that 25k and buy a sweet ass ride or whatever it is that will make you feel like you got those lost inches back. Keep yourself busy, stay positive, start hanging out with other girls. By the time she realizes all this and wants you back, you will not even want her back because you will have probably found something alot better. Either way, whatever it is your hoping to accomplish out of this (getting her back/or getting over her) remember, girls are not attracted to emotional bitches. thats their job, not yours. hope it works out for you man.
