This was taken over a year ago. The new span is now almost finished and is set to open this Labor Day weekend.

I can't wait till it opens. Have you seen the old bridges new lighting system? They have it on the news quite a bit, computer controlled LEDs on the vertical cables. They run different sequences on it.

That shot was actually taken at Point Pinole Regional Park in Richmond. It's a great place to shoot birds, and has the added fun of the railroad tracks. I have never outgrown my boyhood fascination of trains.
