Many (most?) Americans, without regard to political affiliation, are abysmally ignorant, uninformed and woefully unequipped for serious issues. It's sad but true.

...and their vote carries the same weight as yours. It doesn't matter how I vote in California unfortunately, I have to decide if I want to vote for the democrat who is going to win CA or against the democrat who is going to win CA.

Now that I think about it, my presidential vote have never mattered....
