Congrats to the President! I was undecided until the last week of the election then I started leaning to Mitt Romney. I think Obama will have a better second term and I'll support him through it. But on to more pressing matters who are the candidates we will see in the 2016 election? Who does everyone want to see?

Who knows whats going to happen in 4 years. A lot of stars can be born, and a lot of people can "step in it" over that time. It will be interesting to see who both parties come with.

Having hope or trust in a democrat... I think there's a better chance to "hope" to win the Powerball or MegaMillions.

If the republicans would hold everything hostage Goethe same of the 1% we could get some things done. The jobs bill and the debt ceiling talks failed because Republicans didn't want to discuss any bill that included a repeal of bush tax cuts for wealthy Americans. But there were willing to discuss cuts to those who need it most. When someone announces their opposition to discuss compromise publicly to the media before talks begin, you know there is no hope for compromise.

Also, the debt will go down now that the economy is starting to roll. It's funny hearing the republicans talk about the deficit and how it's out of hand when they are always the ones screwing it up (relative to GDP of course).

you may very well be disappointed. romney's out, he holds no political office, he's about as useful as p. diddy or jay-z.

my guess is that romney will go back to business/consulting, maybe write a book.

Oh I know. I didn't take what the President said as literal when talking about Romney. I understood it to mean in more general terms, as in he would work with Democrats and Republicans and try to bridge the gap. That's what I am hoping will happen.

Hillary Clinton
John McCain (without Palin, although she's still nice to look at)

I'm hoping some moderates who aren't currently well known will gain recognition in the coming years and give us a choice between good candidates, for once.

I mean, I can dream, right?

I'm predicting Chris Christie will get nominated. He appears to want to bring the GOP closer to the middle which is what they desperately need.

I think Christie will definitely be in the race. I also wonder if Hillary Clinton will make a go at it again.

Well now that the far right in congress won't have the motive to keep the president from another term, maybe they'll actually work with him this time vs pledging to make sure he doesn't get a second term before his first term even started.

Congressional elections are in 2 years, so if they want to keep their jobs, they'll be forced to compromise.

Just bring in the entire cast from West Wing and do a plug and play. There are Americans out there that probably think Martin Sheen was the president.
