PA12 definitely gives u more options than an AUX input if u have an ipod. They normally go for $120-ish on ebay and u can also get the PA11 for under $100. If you dont care for the text display and ipod control etc. u can get AUX for 1/4th the price

The USA-Spec will not work if you have DSP on your stereo. Found out the hard way.... I just purchased an interface from BMW (that works with DSP) for $179 and hope to have it installed later this week.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to kill the person that told me the DICE is a good system. To hell like it is.... I have a Dension in my other car (Audi) and it runs my iPod like a dream. The DICE in my Z4 doesn't control the iPod correctly, doesn't display the song/name text correctly, interrupts the GPS map navigation when it's not wanted... AAAAHGHHGHGHHH. As soon as I can be bothered to pull my boot (trunk) apart to rip it out, I will, and replace it with something better! (though I don't know what, yet.).

Isn't DICE the newest brain child of Dension? I had the Dension I.C.E Link Plus in my E46 and it was great, no txt display not sure why, just wouldn't work with my Nano. Too bad my Z4 has DSP and "Premium Sound" so I get to pay an extra 100$ for a DSP DICE

Have you seen the Intravee II?
I've looked at the DICE and I'm not comfortable with what appears to be a "half hearted" interface to the ipod by using the disc and track number to get around.
I recently found the Intravee II which is an I-bus to Alpine Ai-Net bridge. While it isn't an iPod interface, it does allow you to add an Alpine iPod interface, Alpine CD-changer, or HD/SAT radio. I feel the interface and usability is much better than the DICE from what I've seen. Especially if you have NAV as it uses the whole screen. They sell it at Bimmernav.com and here's a link to the product info http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catal...roducts_id=166 They have videos showing the installation and operation. The company that makes it is called Intravention and is located in the UK. Here is a link to their site as well http://www.intravention.co.uk/index.php They also have a forum with additional info and the developers actively participate. The Intravee is more expensive than the DICE. It's $250 for the Intravee and then about another $100 for the Alpine iPod interface, but it's an expandable system which allows much more potential than the DICE. I haven't bought an Intravee yet, but I'm seriously considering it, after I finish my DIY Homelink install after the first of the year. Take care, RCNet

i have business CD and i want to do some Ipod hook up too. i was going in the DICE direction. sixspeed i think you have more problems with the DICE because you have Nav. i tried to install DICE on my old X5 (with NAV) and it was a nightmare and returned it.
