Proper Introduction

Hi All,

Since I've made a couple of posts thought I'd better properly introduce myself. Came to the forum having bought a car I'd neither researched or test driven. Wish I'd read the forum first, but I know for next time......

Have owned about 4 variants of the E46 including M3, an E60 530d msport, E90 335i msport, E70 X5 30d SE and have ordered:

F30 335d msport plus
Black Sapphire
Coral red, electric, heated seats
Prof media
Adaptive suspension
Visibility pack
Comfort pack
Sunroof
Electric folding mirrors

Colour and sunroof were trade offs to keep wife happy as she drives car 5 days a week, I'm a train commuter. Two year old baby so no 4 series for us yet and have estate second car for all the sh*t runs to the tip etc.

Car ordered 9th March, gets built on Friday and delivery mid May. Wait is killing me and this forum doesn't help . Matt

Welcome to the forum! So why do you feel you should have researched the forum before ordering the car? Seems like you have alot of very good options on your new car!

Same thought! What's wrong with the spec you have? Has all the essentials as far as I can see...

Anyways Welcome!

Wouldn't have got ambushed by the dealer and probably got more off, didn't realise the level of discounts until I read this.

Read the xdrive and suspension threads with interest, although having suffered from spine breaking msport suspension in the past having something softer might be a blessing so I'm not too worried.

Might have fought the missus harder over the sunroof and put HUD in. Otherwise I'm happy with my choice but I have learnt a lot from the forum generally.

I have one child and still went for 4 series... Nothing wrong and it's perfect.. Bought big recaro seatfix and she loves it... You will appriciate how much legroom there is when you actually try it

When he can get in and out himself then I'd definitely think about 4's. But leaning into back to get him in and out seems a pain right now.

Only two more years I reckon anyway, at which point I'll be bored of this car
