Recall Campaign No. 13V-454: Vacuum Pump Oil Supply
I was on a cross country trip, and I needed an oil change. So I took my car to a BMW dealer, and I also told them I got a letter in the mail about the following recall: Recall Campaign No. 13V-454: Vacuum Pump Oil Supply
They said they performed the recall, and later when I looked at the "service invoice" it says the following: It says "PERFORM CAM SHAFT CHECK NO CAM NEEDED", and "PERFORM CAM CHECK INSTALLED SLEEVE". But the recall says: "The power assist braking system will be inspected and, if necessary, the sealing cap will be secured, which will ensure the brake vacuum pump is lubricated properly." Did they perform the wrong recall? The recall and the service invoice seem to be talking about completely different things? The SA claims they performed the correct recall, but I'm not 100% sure. |
