Weird question. I want to keep my dark tips from my stock Sport exhaust and have them installed on my MPE. I'm not a big fan of the chrome tips. My dealer wasn't sure if it was possible because of fitment issues. Anybody done this before or know if they would fit?

I installed the MPE today and tried to fit the black chrome tips, but did not succeed.
The original tubes on which the tips are installed have a 60mm diameter, those of the MPE have a 67mm diameter.

Thx, I found that out this week when mine was installed. I'm waiting for the carbon fiber tips to arrive from Germany. Right now there are none on the car and it looks pretty weird.

cool , pls post pictures with CF tips , my dealer asked for 1300$ for PE , 800$ for 2 CF tips .... not sure if it's the retail price or more but i don't think it worths.

Original tips have metal brackets that are sized/shaped to suit 60mm.
I read somewhere that bending these brackets can accommodate the larger 67mm MPE pipes.

Perhaps worth another look ?

getting used to the MPE tips. I too prefer the sport line black tips in the beginning, but now don't care.

I will, dealer is saying they are a couple of weeks out still. Your dealer quoted $800 just for the tips? I'm wondering what I have coming for my car then, my dealer is quoting me $187.

Just got my MPPK and MPE installed; after ordering I found out the carbon tips were 'available' (even though not advertised on the UK site), so I changed the order....

...Turns out there are none available at the moment, anywhere, even in Germany, but apparently early June they will arrive, so for now the exhaust is 'naked' - looks a little odd (dealer said original tips wont fit, which ties in with 60mm vs 67mm) , but sounds fab

Other than BMW tips, are there any other tips that would fit the MPE?
