Its a difficult decision, but I go i8 in the end..
Car and Driver magazine recently took the BMW i8 on a road test through the famed Angeles Crest Highway, a nearby canyon road in the Los Angeles area. This is one of the slightly removed canyon areas that car enthusiasts go to blow off some steam and take in the joys of tight curves on the side of a cliff. On a good weekend you can see a nice collection of drivers’ cars going up and down this pass, especially BMWs. So why not … CONTINUED

To find out how thirty years of evolution has changed the BMW supercar, Auto Express took along a classic M1 to meet the new i8 at the Auto Express test track. The BMW i8 features a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol from the MINI Cooper driving the rear wheels, while an electric motor drives the front. Under the engine cover of the M1 is something altogether much more traditional: a 3.5-litre six-cylinder unit putting out 277bhp and 330Nm of torque. This compares to 357bhp and … CONTINUED

Ludwig Willisch, CEO of BMW of North America, has said that the wait for an i8 remains at about a year.
While the demand for the i8 is the most obvious, the i3 isn’t doing badly either. BMW expects to sell about 1,000 i3s a month in 2015 (in the … CONTINUED

We knew the i8 was in high demand (relative to supply) and certain dealers were listing them for a premium price above MSRP, but this one takes the cake. Irvine BMW recently managed to sell an i8 for a $100,000 “market adjustment.”
