Since a lot of BIMMERPOST members are starting to take delivery of the new M4/M3 … I thought I would put this PSA out for you.
Basically, the first (1200 miles) service is just like on the previous generation M3. The only thing new is that now BMW says you MUST replace the oil pan plug/screw and differential screw/plug with new ones! The crush o-ring is now built into the screw.

Motortrend strapped a F80 M3 and a E92 M3 onto a dyno for a head-to-head power comparison. The final figures show that the F80 M3 / F82 M4 even more powerful compared to the E90/E92 M3 than BMW’s officially advertised figures.

The BMW does 0-100 kmh (62mph) in 4.4 secs (VS 4.2 for the RS5 with DSG). The 0-200 is in the advantage of the M4 in 14.1 secs (VS 14.8).
Weight: 1585kg or 3494 pounds VS 1803kg or (3975 pounds!!) for the RS5.
Lap time (Contidrom measuring 3.8km): 1:34,41 secs (similar to Porsche 911), 2 secs quicker than the Audi. I assume with the DCT version, the M4 would be even quicker… … CONTINUED

Results from an exhaust resonator delete on the F80 M3 / F82 M4. The owner cut open the factory resonators and welded in a straight pipe – bypassing the factory resonator.
