The M3 GTS is probably the most highly coveted M3 out there right now. Never mind that every example of the car has been sold out, or that its only available to select customers in Europe, we still think about this car on a daily basis. That of course only feeds the desire to get behind the wheel of this rare beast. The lucky guys at Car and Driver recently had a chance to do something that we can only do in our dreams — test drive the ALMS M3 GT race car. What they share with us is some great insight from a non-professional driver as well as some stunning photography of the ALMS M3.
Jay Leno drives the E92 M3 in his latest episode of Jaylenosgarage. Although he gets some of his facts wrong (as our M3post members unrelentingly point out), he appears to enjoy the car greatly and grasps the essence of what makes the current M3 so great.

BMW bundles up some equipment to create a Competition Package for its M3. It brings 10mm lower suspension, a re-programmed Dynamic Stability Control+ setting and new CSL-inspired 19-inch alloy wheels. The real big news is the addition of stop-start to the entire M3 line-up, this improving economy by six percent and reducing emissions from 285g- to 263g/km.
