Top Gear online reviews the BMW M3 GTS in the Austrian Alps on the infamous Grossglockner Pass. They come away calling the engine, gearbox, and chassis combination a religious experience. Final verdict: Ridiculous. Pointless. Perfect.
The M3 ZCP Competition ranks #5 on UK publication AutoExpresss just announced 2010 Performance Car of the Year list, which includes cars ranging from the VW Golf R to the 911 GT3 to the Ferrari 458. The 3 day tests were conducted the Anglesey Circuit in England and included cars/editions launched in 2010.

Speed Channel recently aired an episode of its Battle of the Supercars which pit the E92 M3 against the Lexus IS-F. The cars competed in 4 different competitions, a 0-100-0 contest, 60-100 race, half-mile acceleration, road course, driven by Paul Tracy and Tanner Foust. Results inside.

Road & Track’s November issue will contain a feature comparing the factory street version of 5 top performance cars against their GT versions from the ALMS racing series. One of the feature teases released so far is BMW Rahal Letterman Racing driver Tommy Milner, who relates the factory M3 to the experience in the M3 GT2 race car.

Autobild has pitted the M3 GTS against the 911 GT3-RS, arguably one of the best handling street cars currently available. According to the test’s scoring system, the M3 GTS took second, but by a mere 5 points (out of 300 total). The GT3-RS was stronger in off the line acceleration, but the M3 proved faster for in-gear acceleration. Full results inside.
