The F10 M5 is now in service a the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, SC and an M5POST member was on hand to be one of the first lucky drivers to sample the new 2013 M5 at the facilities. As previously revealed, they all have the carbon ceramic rotors. This is his account of the experience:

Here’s a rather unique BMW Individual color – the 2013 F10 M5 in Individual Cognac Metallic. This model was spotted at an Italian BMW dealership and retails for 105.900 EUR.

Good news for iPhone users. iOS6 is finally supporting iDrive Office integration via Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile). Bluetooth MAP is the protocol used to retrieve email messages through iDrive, which currently only works with Blackberry and a few other devices.

Here are a few photos showing a iPhone 4S connecting via Bluetooth MAP (wireless non-USB connection) using iOS6 Beta 1.

We took a recent trip to the BMW Museum and Welt where there’s currently a new exhibit on display – BMW Motorsports cars. The exhibit opened June 5th and will continue throughout the summer.

BMW took the 2013 F10 M5 onto the salt flats for a some high speed run, slowed for our eyes with a high speed slow motion camera, where it mimics a high speed bullet as it hits various targets. The promo mixes a bit of high art with the aggressive sounds and in-car footage from the M5.

The location reminded us of the popular and by now classic E39 M5 commercial which was shot on the Bonneville Salt Flats. See both videos below.

For the past few weeks, BMW has been offering a $300 discount on the 2012 3 Series for scheduling a test drive through the app, but they’ve now expanded the promotion to include all BMW models.

The discounts are as follows:

$300 Off 3 Series, 1 Series, X1, X3 and Z4 (all trims, including M models)
$500 Off 5 Series, 5 Series Gran Turismo and X5 (all trims, including M models)

If you’re an M5 and manual transmission fan then this current F10 M5 generation will be your last chance to own the combination. BMW M’s head of engineering, Albert Biermann let on this week to Insideline that there are no plans to fit the next generation M5 or M6 with a manual transmission. Manual transmission is currently offered as a no-cost option for the F10 M5 in North America (only) and will likely become an option for the F12/F13 M6 as well.
