It seems that almost all prototypes for upcoming BMW models are currently somewhere in frozen northern Scandinavia conducting cold winter testing, and that includes the upcoming BMW F10 M5. Spotted here is the F10 M5 in Northern Sweden, testing its winter handling abilities.

Indeed that is awful. Good news (for me and the other countless M5 Touring owners throughout Europe et all) I was informed that there will be a F11 M5 Touring as the car has proved to be very popular even the final production models are being snapped up as we speak.

Check out these beautiful renders of one of BMWs most hotly anticipated new M cars — the F10 BMW M5. The new M5 is expected to bow in one years time at the 2011 Geneva auto show, a year after the regular F10 5-series sedan makes its world premiere at the 2010 Geneva show next month.
Well, there is no end to the photoshops of the upcoming M5 that have been bubbling to the surface. The general notion is that the cars line will follow the E90/E92 M3 front bumper however it will be significantly more angular (think X5/X6 M) and obviously wider to fill out the larger 5-Series based body
This F10 M5 photoshop was posted by BMW insider Scott as he mentioned that the F10 M5 photoshops floating around have all relied too much on the M3s looks. Instead, its suggested that we look to the X5M/X6Ms "sharper" looks for the upcoming M5 and M1s design. We take this to mean that the M5s bumper will be more aggressive as in this image, rather than the M3-like bumper seen in most M5 photoshops.

Check out the F10 visions of Nowack, Lumma, Carline, Racing Dynamics, Hamann, Kerscher, and Brabham. Tuning company Nowack has plans to tune all the gasoline models for more power, from the 528i to the 550i.

Time marches on and the F10 BMW M5 continues its cold weather testing ahead of its scheduled launch for 2011. To recap, this car is expected to utilize a turbo charged V8 engine derived from the motor used in the X5 and X6 M. Power outputs are still unknown but I would bet on it being higher then that of the X5/X6M. Other M5 Spy pictures can be seen here.

The automotive world has always known only two variants of the E34 M5 – sedan and touring… until now. As recently revealed to select journalists during a 25 year M5 celebration, BMW has actually also built a convertible E34 M5 and was all set to put it into production. Unforutnately, just a week prior to its scheduled Geneva debut, the powers that be at BMW nixed the convertible M5 out of fear that demand for non-M5 convertibles would eat into 3 series convertible sales.… CONTINUED
