Time marches on and the F10 BMW M5 continues its cold weather testing ahead of its scheduled launch for 2011. To recap, this car is expected to utilize a turbo charged V8 engine derived from the motor used in the X5 and X6 M. Power outputs are still unknown but I would bet on it being higher then that of the X5/X6M. Other M5 Spy pictures can be seen here.

A one-off lightweight E60 M5 CSL was unveiled today at BMWs Nurburgring based prototype workshop. This car was built to commemorate the 5-series 25th anniversary. Albert Biermann, BMW M divisions head of development summarized the car as "the M5 CSL we never built" (though we would have loved to see it earlier and available to the public). BMW has used its http://www.bmw.tv site and its YouTube channel to release a new promotional video for the BMW M5 Ring Taxi. This is the car that was famously piloted by Sabine. For those that dont know, the ring taxi is basicly a roller coaster ride around the Nurburring. With the flurry of new spyshots last week of the upcoming 2011-2012 BMW M5 weve now gotten a great look at the shape of the M5s front end.
