Spied here is the 2012 M6 coupe with less camouflage than previously seen. Although much of the front fascia remains covered in camouflage tape, it will resemble the recently revealed 6-series Coupe (official info and photos), but with an M styled bumper of course. The front brakes feature huge calipers with cross drilled rotors front and rear. Traditional quad exhausts are seen at the rear, surrounded by a still-camouflaged rear bumper which will also sport M-styling. The wheels appear to be for testing only as their offsets are clearly too high for the M6’s fenders.

The 2012 M6 will share the same motor and drivetrain as the upcoming M5 - a tuned version of the turbocharged 8 cylinder motor from the X5 and X6 M (the BMW … CONTINUED

Mr. Sibal has really gotten a nack for getting photoshops about future BMWs correct. This is not the first time a potential M5 has been rendered, but this one is integrates a few features which the rumormill has been pointing to as likely to appear on the M6.

Namely, the highly angular quadrilateral brake vents and the integrated air curtain, which was first introduced on the 1M and may become standard fare for M models. Moving on from the front end, the front fender and door get M treatment that is more evolution of the basic 1M elements.

Comparing to recent spyphotos, the wheels seem to be 100% accurate, as is the stance and overall appearance of the car.

The next M6 is expected to make its appearance … CONTINUED

It’s been nearly 4 months since the all new 2013 M6 convertible was spotted, but it’s appeared yet again, and in the most unlikely time and place possible - Northern Sweden in the dead of winter. Now that the 6-series convertible has been officially debuted, BMW has moved onto the development of the top of the line 6-series cabrio.

The M6 prototype now sports the production M6 bumper underneath heavy front camouflage. Other signature M features already seen are the quad exhausts and huge front brakes. The wheels seen here are winter wheels/tires for testing purposes only.

The F12/F13 M6 will share the same engine as the upcoming F10 M5 - the turbocharged 8 cylinder motor from the X5 and X6 M (the BMW S63 engine, a 4.4L … CONTINUED

The M Owners Club of Indonesia participated in an Indonesia-wide Performance Day European Sports Car II event last weekend, where BMW M cars gathered and ran with other M cars, Porsches, and Ferraris at the Sentul International Race Track. Check out the huge photo set inside.

The day started with BMWs, Porsches, Ferraris, and other exotics gathering at downtown Jakarta, in the parking lot of the formerly Hilton Hotel. The group then convoyed to the race track (Sentul International Track), having two X5 M cars as safety cars. Around 80 cars attended the event, ranging from BMW M, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, and Audi. The event featured 3 sessions - drag race, slalom/auto cross, and track runs (which was led by pace cars).

Here are our latest spy photos of the 2012 M6 Coupe (F12) and Convertible (F13). The coupe is showing a camouflaged front bumper but the production wheel design, and the convertible is not yet testing with its production bumper. The coupe will look essentially like the 6-series coupe concept debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, albeit with M body styling and other bits.

The new M6 Coupe will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. The M6 Cabrio will follow later in 2012. An M6 Gran Coupe (4 door) will arrive in late 2013. A Possible M6 Shooting brake is under consideration.
