Set to arrive at the Frankfurt autoshow in September 2009 is an all new MINI Roadster concept car that will fortell a production car shortly after that. BMW has been increasingly looking to setup the MINI brand as a full range automobile company with the standard MINI cars as well as an upcoming Crossman SUV and now this roadster. I can’t wait to see this car!

MINI Brand is rumored to be developing a “Speedster” which would basicly be a MINI roadster. Sounds cool

The JCW convertible is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo four with 211 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, plus an extra boost in low-end grunt helping the open-air machine get to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 146mph. The JCW cabrio also boasts of a reworked suspension and electronics, 17″ alloy wheels, larger brakes, Works aero kit, dark grey soft-top and special interior touches, including three-spoke leather steering wheel, special pedals and piano-lacquer trim also form part of the package.
