BMW drivers began the 2015 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season at today’s 2.5-hour BMW Performance 200 with a fourth place finish in the Grand Sport class and third, fifth and sixth place finishes in the Street Tuner class. A total of nine BMWs were entered in the race.

BMW of North America today announced a multi-year partnership with Daytona International Speedway to serve as the title sponsor for the season-opening IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race. Motorhead hosted their first Hill Climb event held on the winding stretch of road that makes up the amazing Mazda Turnpike located on Hakone mountain. A little over a week after BMW works driver Marco Wittmann (DE) received the coveted 2014 DTM Champion trophy at the season finale in Hockenheim (DE), on Monday he visited the home of BMW in Munich (DE). The GSR Autosport Global Time Attack project car is being developed to run in the 2015 GTA Pro Am Series in Street Class.
