Congrats to Team BMW RLL on taking the pole position for tomorrow’s Long Beach ALMS race! Joey Hand took pole position in the No. 56 M3 GT with a time of 1:19.090 and Bill Auberlen will start in the #3 position tomorrow. Tomorrow’s ALMS race will be short and furious – only 2 hours from beginning to end, and will be run on a tight street course, so a good starting position was crucial.
We were on site at the Long Beach GP today visiting the BMW paddock and had the opportunity to cheer the BMW M3 GTs on during the qualifying laps and will be back to root for a 1-2 win tomorrow. Check out our photos inside.

Quick acceleration out of the tight temporary street circuit corners is critical to fast lap times at Long Beach – especially exiting the hairpin turn that leads onto the longest straight.
