Like the M5, the M6 is also expected to receive a Competition Package for the 2014 model and we have spied it being evaluated on the Nurburgring. The M6 Competition Package should receive the same features and upgrades as the M5, which are currently expected to be:

• HP increase (approximately 15-20hp)
• Top speed increase
• M Carbon Ceramic Brakes
• Sport suspension
• Sport exhaust with black tips
• Enhanced steering
• 20″ competition wheels
• Carbon fiber trunk spoiler (seen on M6 only)
• Rumored to priced at 9800EUR (M5) and 12000EUR (M6)

The BMW Performance Center and Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts today announced that the 560 horsepower 2013 BMW M6 Coupe will participate in the grueling One Lap of America event starting May 4, 2013. Instructors from the BMW Performance Center, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, will drive the 3,400 mile tour that originates in South Bend, Indiana and incorporates autocross, skid pad, drag strip, and closed course racing.

During the eight day event drivers; Mike Renner and Steve Maguire, along with more than 80 other competitors will visit Talladega Grand Prix Raceway, NOLA Motorsports Park, Daytona International Speedway, Carolina Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, Pittsburg International Raceway, and the BMW Performance Center.

The EAS project M3 race car gets a new look and supercharger. The ESS VT2-625 Supercharger replaces the previous VF620 system for 2013.

A couple of shots her show a prototype replacement intake runner was machined in-house and houses the boost pressure and secondary IAT sensor for datalogging/monitoring. Two versions will be released shortly, which will make it easier for thsoe looking for individual-based runner methanol injection or auxiliary sensor mounting.

There is a new limited edition M3 in town… and it is called: Bruno Spengler M3 DTM Champion Edition Model.

To celebrate Bruno Spengler’s fantastic championship win in DTM last year, BMW have built only 54 copies of this rare M3. Why only 54 cars? Simple, one car for every BMW DTM win from 1984 to 2012! Each of the 54 cars will come in frozen black just like Bruno’s DTM racer. The street car comes standard with: special carbon bits, ///M tri color stripes on the exterior, BMW M logo behind the front wheel arch or a logo on the rear side windows also remember - at least visually - the genes from BMW Motorsport. All to give you that “DTM feeling”.

We’ve gotten another look at the F15 X5’s interior and it provides the best idea yet of what it will look like once revealed.

Interior / Wheels

The F15 X5’s general dashboard design takes after the F30 3 Series with a multi-layered look. Compared to the current X5 (E70), the next X5’s dashboard has also become more driver-centric, a design element seen in recent new BMW models. It will also be more upright compared to the current X5’s dashboard, which angles and curves away sharply from the driver and passenger. See a comparison image below.
