We took a recent trip to the BMW Museum and Welt where there’s currently a new exhibit on display - BMW Motorsports cars. The exhibit opened June 5th and will continue throughout the summer.

Autoblog takes their turn at reviewing the 2013 M6 coupe. The main question they ask is: So, where exactly has all the marquee-caliber thrill gone since the debut in 2005 of the E63/E64 generation? Are there just more worthy competitors now, or are the Bimmers stepping down off their altar a bit to reach the mainstream? Their answer is that both are probably true, but the M6 coupe stands out amongst its own as the best banner waver for BMW’s M-branded large cars.

BMW took the 2013 F10 M5 onto the salt flats for a some high speed run, slowed for our eyes with a high speed slow motion camera, where it mimics a high speed bullet as it hits various targets. The promo mixes a bit of high art with the aggressive sounds and in-car footage from the M5.
The location reminded us of the popular and by now classic E39 M5 commercial which was shot on the Bonneville Salt Flats. See both videos below.
Production of the 1M Coupe is about to end at the Leipzig plant, and one of the last models to roll off the line is a special one-off Java Green 1M.
All its black trim pieces are finished in black chrome and the wheels are from the M3 GTS.
This isn’t the first Java Green BMW however, as there has also previously been an Individual Java Green M3 Coupe produced.
Press drives for the 2013 BMW M6 (F13) coupe are underway and the first reviews are in. This one hails from Autoexpress UK and they rate the F13 M6 a 4 of 5 stars. Given that the M6 coupe weighs 130kg less than the convertible, they deem it a much better drive than the convertible. With less weight to lug around, and using the optional carbon-ceramic brakes fitted to the test car, the Coupe goes and stops with monumental force. Full review inside.
The 2013 BMW M6 coupe (F13) press launch is underway in Spain and we’ve uploaded the newest official hi-res wallpaper images of the M6 coupe and convertible (F12) into our Official M6 Thread. If you noticed a slightly new look to the F13 M6 coupe, it’s the new trunk spoiler that it now receives as standard equipment in order to improve aerodynamics.
