As we’ve shown you in recent spy photos, BMW is currently conducting cold climate testing for its prototypes in Northern Sweden where the F10 M5 has made an unexpected appearance. At first glance, there’s nothing unique about this M5, but a quick peak underneath shows the big secret that it’s hiding – an all-wheel-drive drivetrain! The undercarriage photo shows a driveshaft at the front wheels.
Does this mean that the F10 M5 will see an AWD xDrive model in its lifetime? Skeptics would say unlikely … CONTINUED

We’ve spotted the BMW M2 (F87) prototype testing in Northern Sweden! Why has the M2 prototype seemingly gone backwards in development compared to the prototypes we’ve shown you with more final M2 styled parts? Well, most of the differences we can see with our eyes are merely cosmetic in nature – front bumper styling, fender styling, wheels. BMW is still able to test mechanical components (engine, suspension, differential, etc.) without the cosmetic bits that we’ve seen on the more ‘advanced’ looking prototype (see red … CONTINUED
This video made by a valet attendant and involving an M4 may make you think twice the next time you valet your BMW.

For reasons unknown, BMW has advertised the US i3 as having 1.9 gallon fuel tanks instead of 2.4 gallons as they have in Europe.
Seems that this is in reality not the case. i3 in both markets actually have the same fuel tank capacity, but BMW has programmed the US i3 to run out of fuel at 1.9 gallons when in fact it has 2.4 gallon capacity and there is still fuel remaining in the tank when the gauge shows

As many of you may or may not know, dealership in the USA as based on a franchise system, where BMW does not directly own the places where their cars are actually sold.

Here is the first “Frozen Yellow” BMW i8 by JD Customs in the Netherlands
BMW is increasing the US allocation of i8s by over 1000 for 2015, but that reportedly still will not be enough to fill the demand. To accomplish this, they plan to reduce the number of i3s.
Ludwig Willisch, CEO of BMW of North America, has said that the wait for an i8 remains at about a year.
While the demand for the i8 is the most obvious, the i3 isn’t doing badly either. BMW expects to sell about 1,000 i3s a month in 2015 (in the … CONTINUED
This is certainly a good auction season for BMWs. At today’s Gooding and Company’s auction in Scottsdale, AZ there will be the ultra-rare 1959 BMW 507 Series II, with an estimated value of $1.8-2.2 million. This car is the definition of cool and has served as inspiration for countless modern BMWs, most obviously the BMW Z8. The 507 packs a 3.2L V8 producing a meager 160HP (oh how far we’ve come in efficiency).
A former owner, a German collection Peter Groh, put around $50,000 … CONTINUED
