“The biggest four-cylinder in the world – a landmark for the city of Munich alongside the Olympic Park. Ergonomically compact inside and clearly contoured outside, it is a boldly conceived experiment and a milestone in the history of architecture. BMW has created space for its expanding business with an administrative centre of the New Class.” (Internal memo, 1973)
Since its official opening on 18 May 1973, the BMW Group Headquarters has become an indisputable icon of architectural history and a permanent feature both of Munich’s skyline … CONTINUED

Geek out with us and follow this analysis by a BIMMERPOST member in which he predicts the upcoming F80 M3 and F82 M4 s55 engine RPM redline, by way of a technical sound analysis.
He began testing a couple of dyno recordings and fairly quickly found an E92 M3 video and V12 Aston with 6800 rpm redline. He recorded the sounds (just from crappy Youtube videos) and then did a Fourier transform to get the spectral content. E92 M3 frequency peak at redline should be 560 … CONTINUED
Chris Harris reviews the F32 435i on the track and road… and abides by BMW’s no drifting rule at the Estoril track (or does he??)
Check out this great M3 build by ONEighty, based on a limited edition Frozen White Edition E92 M3 coupe.
Many BMW fans have been waiting for the F32 4 Series Coupe [full official details] to arrive. And arrive it has. We have recently driven the 435i Sport Line in Portugal – Lisbon and at the Estoril Track. It was a joy.
What I Loved?
The cliché holds true for 4 Series as it does with many BMWs – the styling looks so much better in real life than in 2D photos on a computer screen. As for the package? Besides all the standard qualities that make … CONTINUED
We recently asked for your questions regarding the BMW 4 Series and we brought those (together with some of our own) to the press launch for the F32. Big thanks to all the gracious BMW representatives who patiently answered our questions.
Here’s what we were able to find out for BIMMERPOST members.
Are there suspension or steering tweaks/improvements in the F32 compared to the F30?
The F32 is much more rigid than the F30. One way BMW has done this is by using a different suspension with … CONTINUED
BMW has changed its long time recommended oil change mileage intervals for all 2014 models and beyond. The changes apply to all vehicles produced from July 2013 on.
Previously, BMW recommended a 15,000 mile / 24 month Condition Based Service interval, but as of July 2013, the new basic interval will be every 10,000 miles / 12 months. This applies to both gasoline and diesel models.
The Z4 roadster, M5/M6 and ActiveHybrids have some special recommendations, which you can see in the announcement and charts below.
We know that BMW and Toyota have teamed up on a joint sports car project, but what we don’t know is exactly what models this collaboration will spawn for BMW and Toyota.
For Toyota, many speculate that this collaboration will result in the next coming of the Toyota Supra.
As for BMW, it seems that the decision is still up in the air. Members of BMW’s product team recently spoke with Drive and revealed that they are working on “four, five or six” different possible models for … CONTINUED
While we prepare the 4 Series Q&A and review for you, enjoy photos and videos of the 435i from the Estoril Circuit and Lisbon, Portugal.
The upcoming M235i Coupe will beat the 1M Coupe around the Nurburgring, so says Klaus Froehlich, Senior Vice President Brand and Product Strategies at BMW. In speaking to Autoexpress, he states that:
“I have just signed off the M235i’s M Sport performance kit, which will include a proper limited slip differential – LSD. I’m just working out whether to make this an option on all models.
The M235i is as close a spiritual successor to the 2002ti that we’ve had. My initial benchmark was that it will … CONTINUED

Have a look at the best videos yet of the 2014 F80 M3 undergoing track testing at the Nurburgring. Why are they the best yet? Because they are being pushed to the limits, which has been rare in the videos we’ve seen prior to this.

M4 is more the car to convince seeing as it dispenses with history in order to forge a new beginning with a new icon.

In addition to the M Performance 4 Series Coupe on display at the 4 Series international press launch at Estoril track in Lisbon, Portugal, was this 435i M Sport in M Performance trim. Its Estoril Blue II color was totally appropriate as the track day was held at the Estoril Circuit after which this color is named. And while we didn’t get to drive the F32 M Sport on the track (shame), we did get to ogle and photograph it.
The M Sport Package … CONTINUED
