Geek out with us and follow this analysis by a BIMMERPOST member in which he predicts the upcoming F80 M3 and F82 M4 s55 engine RPM redline, by way of a technical sound analysis.

He began testing a couple of dyno recordings and fairly quickly found an E92 M3 video and V12 Aston with 6800 rpm redline. He recorded the sounds (just from crappy Youtube videos) and then did a Fourier transform to get the spectral content. E92 M3 frequency peak at redline should be 560 … CONTINUED

Many BMW fans have been waiting for the F32 4 Series Coupe [full official details] to arrive. And arrive it has. We have recently driven the 435i Sport Line in Portugal – Lisbon and at the Estoril Track. It was a joy.

What I Loved?

The cliché holds true for 4 Series as it does with many BMWs – the styling looks so much better in real life than in 2D photos on a computer screen. As for the package? Besides all the standard qualities that make … CONTINUED

We recently asked for your questions regarding the BMW 4 Series and we brought those (together with some of our own) to the press launch for the F32. Big thanks to all the gracious BMW representatives who patiently answered our questions.

Here’s what we were able to find out for BIMMERPOST members.

Are there suspension or steering tweaks/improvements in the F32 compared to the F30?

BMW has changed its long time recommended oil change mileage intervals for all 2014 models and beyond. The changes apply to all vehicles produced from July 2013 on.

Previously, BMW recommended a 15,000 mile / 24 month Condition Based Service interval, but as of July 2013, the new basic interval will be every 10,000 miles / 12 months. This applies to both gasoline and diesel models.

The Z4 roadster, M5/M6 and ActiveHybrids have some special recommendations, which you can see in the announcement and charts below.

We know that BMW and Toyota have teamed up on a joint sports car project, but what we don’t know is exactly what models this collaboration will spawn for BMW and Toyota.

For Toyota, many speculate that this collaboration will result in the next coming of the Toyota Supra.

As for BMW, it seems that the decision is still up in the air. Members of BMW’s product team recently spoke with Drive and revealed that they are working on “four, five or six” different possible models for … CONTINUED

The upcoming M235i Coupe will beat the 1M Coupe around the Nurburgring, so says Klaus Froehlich, Senior Vice President Brand and Product Strategies at BMW. In speaking to Autoexpress, he states that:

“I have just signed off the M235i’s M Sport performance kit, which will include a proper limited slip differential – LSD. I’m just working out whether to make this an option on all models.

The M235i is as close a spiritual successor to the 2002ti that we’ve had. My initial benchmark was that it will … CONTINUED
