Two FWD BMW variants are coming according to Autocar – a FWD 5-door hatchback and a FWD touring / station wagon model. It’s scheduled to arrive in UK showrooms in 2013 and is expected to have a roomier layout/interior than RWD 1-series variants due to lack of transmission tunnel and more forward A-pillar design.

Whats more, the small car would actually be designed and built to be sold under the BMW brand according to MINI boss Wolfgang Armbrecht. Here is the first ever look at the production 2011 ActiveHybrid 5-series (F10) during testing. The upcoming 2011 5-series hybrid will be powered by BMW’s N55 turbo six cylinder motor (which makes 306hp in the 535i), mated to an electric motor making 54 more horsepowers. The F10 M5 has been spotted undergoing another season’s worth of winter testing in northern Sweden. It’s spotted here with snow wheels/tires for testing purposes and are not the wheels we’ve come to know as the production wheels. South Florida Bimmerpost members gathered for a rally while serving a good cause this past Saturday. The charity rally took drivers from Watson Island in Miami, FL up the coast to West Palm Beach, and back to Fort Lauderdale. To add some fun, poker cards were given out at 5 stops in total and the driver with the best hand at rally’s end won the grand prize. The rally was used to raise money for two national charities (Children’s Cancer Research Fund and WAABI).
