The 2011 5-series and 2011 X3 have been named as 2 of 41 total contenders for the 2011 Car of The Year Award. A winner will be chosen on Nov. 29. All of the contenders are new vehicles available now or soon in five or more European markets, and each has the prospect of at least 5,000 yearly sales. The voting process has two stages. The first one will produce a short list of seven nominees, which will be announced on 2 November. The second round will find the single winner that will be made known on November 29th, 2010.

The BMW 6-series Coupe Concept features Bang & Olufsen’s highly acclaimed High-End Surround Sound System’s latest iteration. With the debut of BMW’s newest concept car, B&O has announced its partnership with BMW cars and provided some more background to the 6-series coupe’s audio system.
The BMW 530d GT has been crowned Executive Car of the Year in the 2010 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards and the 530d sedan finished second in the judging making it a one-two for BMW. Also, the BMW 7-Series has been awarded Chauffeur Car of the Year by top chauffeuring website thechauffeur.com.
The captive finance company will begin identifying to BMW dealers their customers who are in good standing and whose vehicles’ market value is more than what is owed. Dealers will then contact those customers and tell them which new BMW vehicles they can buy within the same monthly payment range or a range chosen by the dealer.
At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, BMW will showcase new ConnectedDrive functions involving Blackberry, Apple iOS 4, iPhone 4, iPod, iPad, and Wifi technologies. Details inside.
