While we’re all still drooling over the unveiling of the 1-Series M Coupe, some might wonder how it will fare against what will possibly be its biggest rival – the Audi RS3. We can already hear some moaning ‘coupe vs hatchback, RWD vs AWD and manual vs double clutch’ to stress both cars aren’t even rivals, but look at the specs to see that both a pretty close in power, size and price. The next generation F30 3-series sedan is currently undergoing winter testing in northern Sweden. It wears the same heavy camouflage as the previous sightings, so these photos are best for determining proportions, size, and stance. Thus far, the F30 test mules spied have all had great proportions and stance. The F30 will be slightly larger and have a longer wheelbase than the current E90 sedan but features shorter overhangs to maintain sporty and squat proportions. Consistent with current BMW design language, the F30 will have wider and lower kidney grilles and the front fascia will be more upright than the E90 design.

Engine options will include a full range of turbo and naturally aspirated 6-cylinder motors, 4-cylinder motors, and possibly even a new 3-cylinder motor. The F30 … CONTINUED

With the embracement of 3-D technology due to the advancement in modern culture and entertainment Avatar anyone? ( No I have not seen it yet, So I cannot give you an opinion)

The next stage will be to move 3D technology into active promotion.
Given BMW’s advancement as a car company that has embraced new ideas within marketing such as use of Facebook , You Tube and Twitter in the promotion of BMW and MINI products at specific demographics ie with the MINI brand and key volume products such as the 1er and X1.
To bring automotive marketing into the social networking arena.

US BMW dealers have received the official 1 series M coupe product bulletin, signaling the start of communications regarding the 1m coupe. The bulletin summarizes general facts of the 1M coupe as well as laying out specific US production and pricing info.

The 1M will be limited production after all and production begins in 2011. BMW’s Order Bank will be open as of December 20th, meaning the official option and package lists will be listed (and orders possibly being submitted on this date).

As part of its “What´s next?” corporate campaign, the BMW Group has developed an exhibit that makes the company’s commitment to sustainability throughout the value chain come to life.

The pinball exhibit, a virtual version of the classic pinball game, was developed by the BMW Group for its sustainability exhibition, and can now be downloaded as a free application for the iPad and iPhone from the App Store. An online version of the game is also available at http://www.bmwgroup.com/whatsnext.

The application uses an interactive approach to help users understand the BMW Group’s strategies for reducing CO2 emissions. The object of the game is to collect CO2-reduction points by activating Efficient Dynamics technologies.

Martha Stewart accepted BMW’s invitation to design her dream BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle using BMW’s “Dream It. Build It. Drive It.” program. Martha used the “Build Your Own” online tool on bmwusa.com to customize her own BMW X3.

Customization is a specialty for the new BMW X3, the vehicle has more than 70 million unique configurations. Martha Stewart designed her X3xDrive35i to have a Sparkling Bronze Metallic exterior, one of three special exterior colors that are only available for BMW X3 custom orders. Martha’s BMW X3 has a Sand Beige Nevada Leather interior and Fineline Wave Wood Interior Trim.

Edmunds’ InsideLine blog has gotten a sit down with BMW sales and marketing director, Ian Robertson who told them exclusively that the Vision EfficientDynamics car will indeed go on sale and would be priced near the $200K price mark and intent on competing with Ferrari and Porsche. More then likely the car is being priced to compete directly with the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell.

The car would also “redefine how we look at high-performance sports cars,” when it enters production in 2013. It truly is a ground breaking super car proposal as the previously announced official specs reveal. the car is part of the Project i initiative at BMW, and as such will be built in Leipzig alongside the Megacity Vehicle.

BMW today announced several modifications to the 2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe that accentuate efficiency and premium quality.
