The M3 ZCP Competition ranks #5 on UK publication AutoExpresss just announced 2010 Performance Car of the Year list, which includes cars ranging from the VW Golf R to the 911 GT3 to the Ferrari 458. The 3 day tests were conducted the Anglesey Circuit in England and included cars/editions launched in 2010.
The cars range from the Skoda Fabia VRS, the Seat Ibiza Cupra, Peugeot RCZ and Volkswagen Golf R to the Mercedes SLS AMG, the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Porsche 911 GT3. Next year, BMW is offering amateur sportsmen throughout Europe a unique opportunity to win an X3. Sixty teams, each consisting of three members, will go head to head in six challenging disciplines at the BMW X3 Games. Sailing, mountain biking, skiing, golf, running and driving are in store for the international competitors when they test themselves from 27th April to 1st May 2011 in Geneva (CH). The teams must also successfully complete a creative task. The winning team can look forward to a sporting all-rounder: each team member will receive a new BMW X3.

Its no secret that BMW aim to make the next generation 1-Series (codenamed F20 for the hatchback) a centerpiece BMW model, holding equal importance to its older 3-Series and 5-Series brethern.
