The BMW X1 and the Mini Countryman are similar in several physical dimensions, as well as its intended owner demographic. Here is a size and photo comparison between the two BMW made SAVs. The X1 is longer and has a longer wheelbase while also having a larger cargo capacity.
Automobile Magazine speculates on the upcoming front wheel drive BMW lineup, including a 1-series GT, compact activity tourer, family activity sportster, each intended to utilitarian vehicles. BMW development boss Klaus Draeger has previously confirmed that the new FWD architectures will debut in 2014.
Although only a few models are discussed below, sources say that at its peak the new FWD architecture will underpin up to 20 different BMW and Mini model variants.

We bring you the closest and clearest photos yet of the upcoming 6-series interior. The interior looks largely the same from the first interior spyshots from May, and continues to share a majority of its design and elements with the beautiful F10 5-series interior, with the major exception of the navigation screen, which is fixed like the 5-series, but not integrated into the dash.
This particular car was a convertible version.
The 2012 6-series is expected to debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

BMW Rahal Letterman’s #90 M3 GT2 driven by Dirk Müller has just won the ALMS Race at Road America! Unfortunately the other BMW RLR car, number #92 crashed out of the race. Congrats to BMW RLR and Dirk Müller for the first place finish!
1-series enthusiasts in Germany had a meet & spectacular drive this weekend. The meet took place around Bamberg and the convey then tore through picturesque Fränkische Schweiz (Little Swiss) area. In all, 17 1-series attended the meet and cruise. A ton of photos can be found inside.
