BMW has released a limited edition E89 Z4 for the Japanese market, dubbed the SILVER TOP Z4 edition. The major difference between this edition and the regular Z4 is the painted silver folding hardtop roof and silver painted mirrors.

A hostage situation developed at the BMW France offices this morning. An armed employee of BMW France took hostages and fired off two shots. An elite anti-crime brigade helped free the three hostages without harm.

BMWNA has launched the first-ever user-generated iAD to promote the launch of the all-new BMW X3. iAd is Apple’s new mobile advertising network, reaching millions of iPhone and iPod touch users. The iAD’s focus is on BMW’s built-to-order program that allows customers to create an entirely customized BMW X3. The iAd, the primary mobile component of the X3’s marketing campaign, allows an individual to go from dreaming about a new custom-built X3 to having it delivered to their driveway in just a few weeks.
BMW will begin featuring an interactive and innovative iPad experience for Auto Show consumers, debuting at the S.Florida Int’l Auto Show in Miami. The traditional Auto Shows Specification panel used to display vehicle information and pricing will be replaced by interactive iPads which will offer consumers enhanced functionality such as the opportunity to design their own BMW using the digital configurator. Consumers can experience the dynamic features of the displayed models with the iPad.
